    Installing jBPM

    lmg

      Hi

I'm not technically competent, I just wish to install jBPM for evaluation against proprietary offerings. Why can't manuals be written for the lowest common blockhead?

Firstly, what is build.properties? I think this is something to do with ant. Searches have revealed that this file does not exist in my J2SE, Ant or jBPM files. Do I have to make one? If so, what goes into it?

Secondly, "in directory ${jboss.home} run 'ant configure.jboss.3.2.3+". Sorry, that kind of instruction is totally mystifying. Do I type that into "Run" command on WinXP?

      Thanks

      Jason

If you are (as you state yourself ;-) not technically competent, I'd use the jbpm 3.0 starterkit. It is a preconfigured jboss 4.0 with jBPM and the webapp in it. Much easier to use for comparing it to proprietary offerings (out of curiosity, which ones?)
