dataTable filterExpression

Hi,
can someone please give an example of how to use filterExpression with dataTables (back bean and jsf).

according to the reference manual, it should be like this:

<rich:column filterExpression="#{fn:containsIgnoreCase(cap.timeZone,
filteringBean.filterZone)}">

but i do not really understand what this fn prefix means...

It's the JSTL function prefix. Look at the ui:composition element:

xmlns:fn="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions"

in filterExpression you should write any boolean evaluated expression. Yes in demo case - I've used standard jstl function.
