Sort - rich:scrollableDataTable - 'rows.0.Id' is null

I am using rich:scrollableDataTable in RichFaces 3.1.0.

When I say rows="0"....the first time when I come on the page and the list for this table is empty & when I type anything in any of the input text boxes of the same form as that of this scrollableDataTable.....I am getting a J avaScript error on my page.....that 'rows.0.Id' is null or not a object

But when I say rows="1" ..then I am not getting this error.
It is because I am saying rows="0"...this error is coming...??

Is this an open issue in 3.1.0
Any findings by anyone on this ?
I am using JSF 1.1

We are experiencing the same issue but haven't spent the time yet to try and track it down.

Have found that if you populate the list with an empty object that the error goes away, but definitely not what I would consider a elegant solution.
