JBPM BPEL Fault and Compensation Handling

    av_2_0

      Hi

I have been using the JBPM Bpel module. I am really desperate to use fault handling and compensation. I saw a http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=74937 saying that the next version of JBoss BPEL will feature fault handling.

I was wondering if compensation would also be included in the next version. Also, according to the roadmap these features will be available only in the Beta 3.

It would be great if you guys could get these features done earlier than that, since JBoss BPEL is currently the best open source BPEL engine and these features would really help with making more complicated business processes...

If that is not possible, is there any other way to implement fault handling and compensation with JBPM Bpel?

      Thanks and Regards,

Currently, we are focusing on integrating jBPM BPEL with the new SOAP stack developed by the JBoss Web Services team. Once this integration is complete, our BPEL runtime will enjoy better performance, proper support for document/literal endpoints and WS-Addressing support.

Compensation and fault handling are also on their way, but we won't be able to deliver them earlier than beta 3. In fact, fault and compensation handlers are already parsed and the graph elements created for them, it is just a matter of sorting things out. If you are interested in contributing, I could point you to the right places :-)
