hungvy Apr 19, 2006 6:27 AM (in response to hungvy)Hello,
For the new release (3.0.9), we could not see *.par. I found that we had process folder only. And I selected the root folder which stored gpd.xml, processdefintion.xml and processimage.jpg and right mouse clicked on it. But I could not see anything like "Deploy Process Archive".
BTW, for the old release 3.0.8, I could see *.par, but I do not want to rollback to use the old plugin.
Do I need to use the old one?
Thanks, -
3. Re: Deploy Process Archive
hosierdm Apr 19, 2006 4:37 PM (in response to hungvy)It appears that with the 3.0.9 plugin, the old (and better in my opinion) deployment menu is moved. Right-click on the process folder, and you should see a Deployment menu towards the bottom. It expands to a sub-menu that has a Deploy To... menu item. However, this only pops up a dialog that you cannot input anything into. So what happened to the old deployment style? You used to be able to specify the servlet URL and everything. Now it looks like you can only deploy using the Deployment tab when you open the process definition. However, I don't see how to specify the servlet URL anymore. Being able to define that URL is important for anyone that needs to send their processes to different deployer implementations.

kukeltje Apr 19, 2006 7:34 PM (in response to hungvy)hmm... in my version of 3.0.9, the deployment tab is very extensive. I can select what to include in the par, file in the project or even libs on the classpath. Besides that, I can select to deploy it locally (save it locally) or configure a jbpm server with host and port.

hosierdm Apr 19, 2006 9:40 PM (in response to hungvy)Sorry, my description of the Deployment menu item seems to be related to something else perhaps, since it's there in 3.0.8 as well. And I like the robust new deployment method. The thing I'm referring to that's missing is the old HTTP Deployment Settings Deployer value (i.e. jbpm/upload). Am I just missing how to set this in the new deployment tab?

jcaraneda Apr 20, 2006 12:31 AM (in response to hungvy)Where I can find gpd 3.0.9 gpd feature version to download?
I am trying to find it, and not success.
Thanks,

8. Re: Deploy Process Archive
koen.aers Apr 21, 2006 3:34 AM (in response to hungvy)I removed the deployer value (jbpm/upload) as I thought it was a bit confusing and as I was not aware that someone was using it. The actual deployment is still done through the 'old' upload servlet in the jBPM webapp. So if you want to customize the deployment, you can always change this servlet, decorate it with a filter, etc. Let me know if this does not solve your problem.

Please let me know it more details. Is there any way to work-around this problem without updating upload servlet?
Thanks, -

hosierdm Apr 22, 2006 1:19 AM (in response to hungvy)When you open your process, there is now a Deployment tab (along with the Daigram, Swimlanes, Design, and Source tabs). You have to deploy from there now instead of the old right-click context menu.
