Associate field list in designer?

Hi,

I've just discovered JBPM after seeing a demo of e-work from metastorm. ( Tedious link i know! )

Anyway I wish to associate a list of fields, and potentially types in the designer to objects in the diagram. In fact they need to be associated with a transition I believe.

Is this possible and/or sensible? Or am i using the product incorrectly?

I have no clue of what you are trying to achieve. Can you describe this in a little more detail?

I wish to draw out a business process using the designer. I then want to be able to generate the application from the diagram. The links give me the navigation within the application, but I need somewhere to specify the fields which need to be prompted for at each transition.

Does that make sense? Its perhaps not really within the normal remit of jBPM, would it be useful for others?

Just being able to attach a list of properties to a transition would be good?

Yes, you can define fields in the visual process designer, then have them show up in the sample web UI. Please take a look at this Getting Started Guide link:

Ok, I was trying to use the interface from within eclipse to draw out the process and then assign fields. It looks like i cant assign fields within eclipse. Would that be correct?

I'll try and get the web interface running tomorrow.

No; It seems i was using the wrong interface. I'll report back once i've tried the web mode as described in the tutorial.
