1. Re: how i can integrate JBoss JBPM in ERP system
einali Sep 13, 2006 5:38 AM (in response to naeemahmad)Dear Mr
you have to integrate identity managment system used in your ERP system in jbpm;
its easy because jbpm use seperate jar file and loosely coupled interface for identity managment ;
then its better to use specific features for jbpm general nodes to specify Graph nodes for your own system ;
you have to handle taskinstance and GUI for them in your manner;
i suggest to dont change jbpm core for compatiblity
use general controllers , assignements , Handlers for your needs

williamyale Sep 13, 2006 11:45 PM (in response to naeemahmad)Hi einali,
If I develop an ERP system based on jBPM for my own company to use. Do I need to pay JBoss for some kind of fees?
If not. How about developing ERP systems for other companies with jBPM as a fundamental component?

koen.aers Oct 7, 2006 2:36 AM (in response to naeemahmad)Hi William,
jBPM's license is LGPL. This means roughly that you can freely use it in your own products and distrubute the result without any problem. However, if you intend to modify jBPM or extend it by modifying the sources, then your modifications should be given back to the jBPM community, i.e. the modified jBPM (or even the resulting product if this would be the modification) should carry the same license as jBPM (LGPL).
