No, never tried it, Sergey.
All calendars are almost identical, like this one:<a4j:region id="calendar_employeeBirthDateEdit" layout="block"> <rich:calendar id="employeeBirthDateEdit" value="#{amBean.employee.birthDate}" enableManualInput="#{amBean.calendarEnableManualInput}" popup="#{amBean.calendarPopup}" locale="#{amBean.calendarLocale}" datePattern="#{amBean.calendarPattern}" showInput="#{amBean.calendarShowInput}" required="true" requiredMessage="#{constMan.requiredMessage}"/> </a4j:region>

If you tried zindex on the calendar and it didnt show, its a bug. If you didnt try this, its your fault :) -
