Using AJAX to load a tab

whe n i use tabs woth AJAX mode, each tab gets loaded each time the user selects it.
say the user selects a tab. it gets loaded from the server. then the user selects another tab. then the user selects the first tab again. it gets loaded the 2nd time!
how can i have tabs loaded only once?

use "client" instead of Ajax. Using "ajax" means the content might be changed each time you enter the tab. If you are sure the tab content is not changed (it sounds like that based on your question), no reason for Ajax mode.

in client mode all tabs would be downloaded immedietly.
i would like to not load tabs i may not be using..
