TaskList by Taskname

Hi,
Could anyone please tell me how to get the taskInstances based on TaskName? I am trying to retrieve a list of all tasks at a specified task, say "STAGE_1_APPROVED", and then assign these tasks to different users. So far, i have been able to retrieve tasks based on actor id or pooled actors, but not by task name. Kindly tell me any API function for the same.

I forgot to add that these tasks are across different process instances of the same process definition...

I believe there is no API function.
But you can easily do this with an HQL query.

I was implementing it using HQL only(but it adds so many extra lines of code!) ; many thanks for the confirmation, holly77 :)
