NPE opening GPD (GPD-148)

I'm getting a "XML document structures must start and end within the same entity" error when trying to open a number of pageflows; it seems that bug was reported and supposedly fixed in http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/GPD-148, but I'm still getting it with the new 3.1.0.CR1 designer release. Can someone verify that it was actually fixed?

Try to get rid of the file containing the graphical information before reopening the file.
