rich:calendar with tinymce won't show in IE

I have a strange issue whereby if a rich:calendar is loaded ahead of a tinymce textarea, it will not render the textarea as a tinymce textarea in IE6. However, this issue does not happen in FF.

If I move the rich:calendar below the tinymce textarea both will render fine.

Does anyone know of a workaround for this issue?
