1. Re: JBPM And OSGi Integration
ekke Dec 16, 2008 2:15 PM (in response to andrea.zoppello)Andrea,
some time ago I've opened
https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/BRITS-3
perhaps you can add a comment there about the needs of getting OSGI bundles of jBPM.
(I opened an Issue at SpringSource becaue I don't found another source where its available
and the bundling of Open Source jars is always well done from SpringSource)

andrea.zoppello Dec 22, 2008 4:52 AM (in response to andrea.zoppello)Hi ekke,
We are starting now to look at OSGi as "a universal middleware " platform and in particular we are interested to know if jboss jbpm could be a good candidate to build business process on top of osgi services.
Have you had any experience, have you already try to do something like that?? If so i'm very interested in.

3. Re: JBPM And OSGi Integration
ekke Dec 22, 2008 11:37 AM (in response to andrea.zoppello)andrea,
I did some work some months ago to see if its possible - and yes, it is.
but the last months I did some other work for my OSGI (Equinox) - Riena - Easybeans Enterprise Application Server.
the server itself is now running (persistence, ejb3, logging, remote osgi services...)
now I'm working on the GUI (rich client eclipse RCP + dynamic generated swt views) where a beta is expected to be ready end of january.
then the next steps will be to add Drools and jBPM to the OSGI server.
I'll let you know... (or you can watch my blog:
http://ekkes-corner.org
or in german http://ekkes-ecke.org )
in february the server + client will be published as open source (EPL)
