1. Re: instance not of expected entity type: java.util.HashMap
adamw Dec 15, 2008 3:13 AM (in response to talios)Hello,
I see you are using inheritance - do you also use Hibernate-trunk? Because the perister work-around in Envers has been removed and an appropraite fix made in Hibernate code.

talios Dec 15, 2008 4:19 AM (in response to talios)We're not using hibernate trunk no, but I guess we could - really trying to get away from trunk/snapshots as much as if possible thou I don't seem to be having much luck :)
I'll update my main hibernate tree and build trunk in the morning. -

adamw Dec 15, 2008 4:22 AM (in response to talios)Ok, hope it will work - nothing much else has change in hibernate in addition to that fix.
A snapshot of hibernate is also deployed in the JBoss Snapshots Maven2 repository, if you'd be interested.

talios Dec 16, 2008 4:58 PM (in response to talios)Manager isn't really keen on running a SNAPSHOT version of hibernate unless we know the release is "soon" :(
I thought I'd just try the preview snapshot from http://www.jboss.org/envers/downloads/ sadly also throws this HashMap exception using 3.3 :("adamw" wrote:

5. Re: instance not of expected entity type: java.util.HashMap
adamw Dec 17, 2008 12:01 PM (in response to talios)Yeah ... a new version of Hibernate should be out in 1-2 months. But the downloadable version is just a jar compiled from trunk - so the persister bug will also be visible there, when using 3.3
