How to add Console Users (jBPM4)

Hi,
sry if this question is stupid, but are the Users of the Console the same as those Users that can be created by the jBPM identityService ?

the method:

createUser(java.lang.String userId, java.lang.String givenName, java.lang.String familyName)

provides no pw for login ?

Ok i read out all users and their groups with the identityService and they seem to be the same as the console users. then just the question on how to give them a PW remains.
