    moving cvs ?

    tom.baeyens

anonymous cvs checkouts are horrably slow.

that is why jboss hosts its own cvs. we could move to there as well to improve performance.

does anyone see a problem with that ?

what are the issues we must consider for the transition ?

      regards, tom.

Do we loose the history? If so do we (you) mind? I personally would not mis much. So go ahead, the forum is there, the wiki is there, the dashboard is there.

Will integration with Jira be possible?
          Sending out mail on check-ins?
          .....?

If you export the sourceforge cvs snapshot all history is there. This is what was done for jboss.

Jira integration is a seperate issue.

All cvs checkins generate mail to the jboss-cvs-commits@lists.sourceforge.net list and the membership management is on the jboss sourceforge project page.

ok. i'm moving forward with this.

i'll keep everyone posted on this forum about the date of the switch and the new cvs data.

              regards, tom.
