Error: forms.xml missing from Process

Tom,

Does the new GPD create a forms.xml to be put up with the processes definition.

We have the new CVS build of the jbpm, but have still been having some troubles with the eclipse plugins.

We got the old eclipse to put up a process definition, but when we try to access it via the web console, we get.

I searched around on the forum, and barely found mention of the forms.xml file, and noticed that Tom added the code into the TaskForms.java, but it doesnt appear to be created anywhere.... Did we catch the cvs in the middle?

I see a couple jira issues, but nothing too close.

It is not a real issue, in the sense that it is a bug or so, but it is a known issue, look at issue http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/GPD-3

Sooo... Are we not able to deploy a process at this time at all with / without the form there? Its all under works?

a process should deploy without the forms.xml file. i'll have to investigate where exactly the extra check needs to be added.

of course, for showing tasks in the web console, the forms.xml will be required.

Yes it apears to go thru the deploy part, but will crash when viewing, and ask for the forms.xml there, in the TaskForms.java,
Can we give it a default forms.xml to use or anything to make it happy?

on which page do you get the crash. i remember we already fixed it once on the home page. so now you should not get this problem on the home page and there should be no link to the actual task page.

is that the behaviour that you see ? which version are you using ?

It is not on the main page will crash with that error I posted when you click on the task to begin it. (the "start it" link) and says this on the page:
An Error Occurred:
/common/taskform.xhtml @21,50 src="#{taskBean.taskFormPath}" /common/taskform.xhtml @21,50 src="#{taskBean.taskFormPath}": org.jbpm.webapp.bean.TaskBean

It does initiate the task, but fails to display the page.
If you try to process the task afterward by clicking on it, it will do the same thing.

I traced it back to the missing forms file, but didnt know what to do after that, so wanted to see if you were working on it or something, or this behavior was known.

hmm.. that brakes with behviour of the 3.1 webapp. My preference would be to have an automagically generated form identical to what is in 3.1 if there is no forms.xml.
