Sorting numbers columns in dataTable

Hi,
Columns in dataTable with rich:column sortBy="#{object.methodReturningDouble}" and with <h:output value="{object.methodReturningDouble}" />
sorts data as String and not as Double (numbers) ???.

In this case 1129 is < then 163 !

How to setup rich:dataTable, rich:column to sort correctly numbers as numbers ?

Sorry for asking you a question on your post, but I see that you managed to get your sortBy working with String.

I cannot get mine to work at all, and I get no error messages.

I have a rich:dataTable with a List returning

<rich:dataTable id="proeveSokList" var="proeve" value="#{proeveSokList}" rendered="#{proeveSokList.size > 0}" rows="20">
<rich:column sortBy="#{proeve.person.lastname}">
<f:facet name="header">
Lastname
</f:facet>
<h:outputText value="#{proeve.person.lastname}"/>

Can you spot anything?
Maybe you can paste your relevant code?

You forgot sortMode="single" in <rich:dataTable

[e-mail], you shout try latest CR8. Yes in your build it sorts strings. But it was fixed.

Thank you very much. That did it. Its strange, because the version on the live example does not have sortMode on the dataTable, and it still works.
