JBoss Portal runs on AS 4.0.2 final now

I have updated the codebase in order that JBoss Portal 2.0 executes only on JBoss AS 4.0.2 which is the target platform for the release.

Everything seems to work which includes :
- new classloader model for web app
- hibernate 3 is used

The bonus is that now jboss-portal.sar is independant of the target database.

So please use JBoss 4.0.2 with CVS head.

The codebase that works with 4.0.2 is in CVS. You'll have to check out HEAD and then build it. We should have binaries out next week, if all goes well.

I received an error from CVS:

cvs checkout: requires a path spec
cvs checkout: :pserver[;keyword=value...]:[username[:password]@]host[:port][:]/path
cvs [checkout aborted]: Bad CVSROOT.

The following checkout string seemed to work. The code is still downloading, so I have not built the source yet to confirm.

cvs -d :pserver:[e-mail]:/cvsroot/jboss co jboss-portal-2.0

BTW, Elliot, we are finishing up the integrated installer and will be releasing RC2 with it. I will let you know, as it will handle all the DB configurations for you.
