I read that JBoss Portal uses Jakarta Slide as its document management, to do versioning of documents, to copy or to move documents, etc. etc.
      Is it correct?

      Correct.

          Hi all.

Since jportal has not search capabilities, is it possibile integrate it with an open source search engine?

If yes, is there a preferred search engine to use?
Should I integrate it, deploying the war file?

          Thanks a lot,
          Nadia

I too want to integrate Lucene with JBoss portal. So any answer to your
question will be of great interest to me too. Thanks.

Today it is not possible to do it as of version 2.0.

Roy Russo is working on CMS improvements that will make that possible for 2.2. The main change is the addition of a CMS service that is used by the CMS admin portlet. Also the CMS service is implemented with command pattern which makes easy the integration with Lucene.
