Hello all,
I've followed the exact procedure for eclipse IDE. passed the hurdle cactustask by adding junit.jar to classpath in eclipse.
But now i'm stuck with the following. Any thoughts?
BUILD FAILED
C:\jboss-portal-2.2\jboss-portal-2.2\tools\etc\buildfragments\targets.ent:735: Basedir C:\jboss-portal-2.2\jboss-portal-2.2\test does not exist
Many thanks in advance
regards

Thanks Roy. I have 2.2 built and running now. I was using the CVS and Eclipse instructions that I found here: http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=67347 and my mistake was that where the instructions say "Unfold the Branches", to get the latest source it is necessary to unfold the Head node instead.
I got an error while building:
taskdef A class needed by class org.apache.cactus.integration.ant.CactusTask cannot be found: junit/framework/Test
My workaround for that was to comment out a couple of Cactus sections in tools.ent. I know that's not optimal but it allowed me to build and get the portal running. The error is puzzling because junit.jar (with junit.framework.Test inside) is in the thirdparty\junit-junit\lib directory. Maybe someone can post a proper solution to that.

got TEST module from latest version, added jboss-microkernal to thirdparty and crossed that point.
Now got stuck at
BUILD FAILED
C:\jboss-portal-2.2\jboss-portal-2.2\tools\etc\buildfragments\targets.ent:735: Basedir C:\jboss-portal-2.2\jboss-portal-2.2\identity does not exist
Any thoughts?
do you guys think something seriously wrong with my source?
I'm not sure what is wrong with my CVS source, but i tried several times to get source via eclipse / tortoise CVS / sourceforge. But never got the folders TEST, IDENTITY & SAMPLES, where build failed.
But finally i got all these from latest jboss-portal CVS repository and successfully built
if anybody shed some light, it would be very helpful. Also please let me know which is the most stable version and where to get from
Many thanks in advance
