elusive admin panel

Greetings.

I am new to J2EE, new to JBOSS, new to Portal... but quick to learn.

I spent the day figuring out how to get portal up and running. I went from HSQL to MySQL to PostgreSQL and back to HSQL. I have it running now.

The documentation says that I should see a CMS admin screen when I login as Admin. I do not. I see the following links: CMS Manager, Test, default. That's it. I am curious what I am missing.

I am using 4.0.3sp1 Jboss, 2.2.0 Portal, Java 1.5.0.06, Windows XP sp2

Is the CMSAdminPortlet on any of your pages? if not, use the management tab and then add the CMSAdminPortlet to a page. Remember that if you add a portlet without a name, then there is NO way to remove the portlet later so be careful while adding portlets.
