Newbie: Deployment structure?

I have read both JBoss Portal "User guide" and "Reference MAnual", yet I found no info on new portlet deployment structure.

1) Where should I put my portlet war file in the directory structure?
2) What else should I do to deploy it?

That's a good point.

I didn't find any documentation on deployment structure. Just a few timed has been mentioned that portal-core.war is an portal implementation and default portal. So in this case what is portal-server.war ?

Would be nice to have at least brief description of portal components of jboss-portal-2.2.1RC1

Otherwise it is a very hard task to start with Portal.

Put your war file in the server/default/deploy directory. It should have some special deployment descriptors though. I have *-object.xml, jboss-app.xml, jboss-web.xml, jboss-portlet.xml. You should find some doc via google.
