3. Re: some general and entry level questions about Jboss porta
roy.russo Feb 8, 2006 8:49 AM (in response to legolas.w)1. It only works on JBoss AS... for now.
3. Use resource bundles. CMS localization is covered in the user guide: http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.2/user-guide/en/html/cmsPortlet.html#d0e1358
7. Yes.
6. Themes: Novell developed the Theme/Layout API and it is thoroughly documented: http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.2/reference-guide/en/html/themeandlayouts.html
You can hotdeploy themes/layouts, and assign them to individual pages or even portal instances. Creating a new theme is simpler than in any other portal. Have a look for yourself at a sample here: http://labs.jboss.com/portal/index.html?ctrl:id=page.default.downloads&project=portletswap&category=.layouts.2_2
All it is, is a .war with css/images and a very small descriptor to tell the portal that its a theme.
Thanks to Davinichi for the answers. ;-)
