Moving portlets in a portal

Hi,

We are in the process of choosing a portal engine.

We've evaluated Liferay and found that we can move portlets in a portal window using Liferay, but I can't do this in a JBoss portal. Do you guys know whether this feature is available in JBoss or not? If yes how can I enable this?

Just a side note: In Liferay we can move a portal by dragging it's tital bar.

It is possible to move the windows around in JBoss Portal via the management interface. Please refer to the user manual for more information.

Drag and drop manipulation of portlet window is being considered for the 3.0 release of JBoss Portal.

Concerning choosing a portal server, you should also consider deeper aspects than porlet window manipulation. JBoss Portal offers a very efficient and robust architecture backed by a comprehensive test suite, something that cannot necessarily be said about other open-source portal offerings.

Do we have a demo of this feature? I would like to see it. I've just looked at user manual and couldn't find much info about this can you give some pointers?

you can assign each portlet to a certain region on a page through the Management Portlet, see this image:

I saw it and it looks good. But the problem is each user can not move his/her portlets and personalize their portal. It looks like only admin user can configure the portal layout for all the users.

What is dot LRN? I am not aware of it.
