1. Re: changing the default page
gruenewa Jul 27, 2006 4:15 AM (in response to vrthikkireddy)I have a similar problem, i also want to change the name of the default page. I have found something interesting in the JBoss Portal Wiki http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Portal_2_4DefaultObject but that did not work. I changed
<portal> ... <properties> <property> <name>portal.defaultObjectName</name> <value>default</value> </property> </properties> ... </portal>
to<portal> ... <properties> <property> <name>portal.defaultObjectName</name> <value>Home</value> </property> </properties> ... </portal>
and i changed also the name of the default page to<page> <page-name>Home</page-name> ... </page>
but nothing happened. Only the CMS seems to be broken. I know that changing the name of the default page is possible as the jboss portal live demo shows. http://portal.demo.jboss.com/. This is exactly what i want.
Thanks,

2. Re: changing the default page
roy.russo Jul 27, 2006 8:28 AM (in response to vrthikkireddy)The way it was done in the demo server, was to go in to the portal sar and edit the default-object.xml, changing default to Home. However, this was done with a clean DB.
The reason the CMS breaks, is because the CMS is looking for default.default.CMSPortletWindow, as you can see here: http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.4/reference-guide/en/html/cmsPortlet.html#d0e3749<attribute name="TargetWindowRef">default.default.CMSPortletWindow</attribute>
Change that to:<attribute name="TargetWindowRef">default.Home.CMSPortletWindow</attribute>
