CMS and Oracle

We're looking at dumping our current CMS and switching to something that implements JSR170. We have a requirement that the data be stored in Oracle. There seems to be a few issues posted to this forum regarding Oracle as a backend to the CMS. Are these mainly configuration issues or is not well supported? Am I better off using the portal with Alfresco? Anyone have any experience with either configuration?

The only outstanding issue with Oracle is that large file uploads seem to not make it in to the repository, cos of the bonehead oracle drivers.

That being said, what we have is a web conent manager. If you're looking for a full-featured data management system, look at Alfresco.
