The portal team is proud to announce you the developer release of 2.6. It consists in a stable release of the current features implemented so far. The goal of that release is to give you the opportunity to see the advancement of the project and also provide us feedback on the implementation.

You can get the release from sourceforge :

I downloaded the DR release and was able to bring it up without any issues, Nice Job ;-)

It would be nice to see you get rid of the html login page and put it into a portal (it would make the whole system really look top-notch)

Overall, it looks and feels really good...really like the DnD!!! For those logged in users, do you plan on adding behavior to save the layout that you have created with DnD? If not, it might be something to consider, as it would be a nice feature to have.

You and your team are definitely on the right track to produce a really awesome product.

Thanks for all the hard work :-)

Currently, a loggedin user can persist his changes when he is in the "Dashboard" area only.

We wouldn't want users being able to modify the layout of shared pages, but their private pages is fine.

When will 2.6 be released to production ? Year end ?

I am very interested in dashborad functionality.

              Regards,

Hi users of the 2.6 DR.
I find I am unable to edit or create CMS entries.
I even download the bundled portal + server zip.
Out-of-the-box is doesn't work for me.
                  Am I alone ?
Do I need to revert to 2.4 to use CMS ?
Is there a more appropriate place to asl this question ?

Thanks in advance for any help on this...

                  Ian

The CMS editor was found to be broken in the 2.6DR. The ajax libraries are colliding with the html component for the editor. We're looking at several options to correct this in the 2.6Alpha release.
