Configuring a new login page for Portal

Hi,

We have developed our portal. We want our login page (insteade of default JBoss login) to appear when i say http://localhost/portal/portal/MyPortal

Can someone specify the steps how this can be achieved ?

The login page currently used is at jboss-portal.sar/portal-server.war/login.jsp. You can replace that file with your own jsp for login. Alternately, the WEB-INF/web.xml at that location contains the login-config tag, which you could modify to references your jsp.

Thank you very much for your reply. I tried changing the login.jsp and it worked.

But this is what i want to achieve. We have our won portal. So when we say http://localhost/portal/portal/MyPortal--> it should take us to our login page and for all other it should take to default Jboss login page.

I was thinking since each portal has its own war file. Can we configure in web.xml of that specific Portal, the login file ?.

Please throw some light.

I have never tried that, so I cannot say if it will work or not. Since you appear to have everything set up to try this already, why don't you try it and see if it works and post your results? (That is how I figure out most of this stuff, by trying it myself. Some of my ideas work, others don't. Either way I learn a lot.)

Though on second thought, this idea of yours sort of ruins single sign-on, which is one of the purposes behind running a portal to begin with.
