JBoss portal newbie building source file

Hi

I am a newbie to jboss portal. I downloaded the source code of JBoss portal 2.4.0 while trying to build the source code the build tries to download some files from the online repository for building a .ent file. Since I am behind a proxy server it is not able to access the online repository. Is there any other way the build can be done??

Define the proxy for ant:
http://ant.apache.org/manual/install.html

To do that you can use define ANT_OPTS
On Linux:
export ANT_OPTS="-Dhttp.proxyHost=proxy -Dhttp.proxyPort=81"

should work fro you after replacing the proxy settings of course.


By the way if you just start, you should use 2.4.1-SP1, or 2.6-Beta1 not 2.4.0

Hi

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have one more query when I run my server I get a javax.naming.NameAlreadyBoundException although my portal runs fine. Any clues as to why is this.

I know it might be elementary but so is my knowledge of jboss :)
