1. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
peterj Aug 2, 2007 11:28 AM (in response to rekrevs)This sounds like a browser caching issue. When you placed the image code back into the login.jsp and refreshed the browser, and the picture did not show up, did you ask the browser to look at the HTML source? Usually that helps me pinpoint problems with web pages.

2. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
durand Aug 3, 2007 5:26 AM (in response to rekrevs)I don't have a solution of this problem, but I can say its not cache related. Its rather that the login servlet doesn't have any overwrite capability like the portlets have, so it's always kept.
Is it possible to give the exisiting login servlet this "feature"? -

theute Aug 3, 2007 5:40 AM (in response to rekrevs)What feature are you talking about ? What is an "overwrite capability" ?

4. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
durand Aug 3, 2007 7:11 AM (in response to rekrevs)I mean that since the login is not a portlet it doesn't share the portlet XML descriptors, which include
<if-exists>overwrite</if-exists>
It seems to me that there isn't any way to do this for the login. -
5. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
theute Aug 3, 2007 9:15 AM (in response to rekrevs)login.jsp is just a JSP, it doesn't store anything.
It can only be a caching issue, Ctrl+F5 is your friend, -
6. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
rekrevs Aug 3, 2007 9:39 AM (in response to rekrevs)I have cleaned my cache, and it´s still the same. When I accessed the portal from an other computer, that never been used to do this before it was the same problem.
I looked in the log. When i deployed my loginpage i got
"/jboss261/server/default/deploy/portal-server.war/WEB-INF/web.xml already deployed"
maybe that got something to do with it? -
7. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
rekrevs Aug 3, 2007 9:51 AM (in response to rekrevs)Also when I have deployed my loginpage. Clean my cache and open the loginpage, it isn´t updated. When I right-click on the page, then view source. The changes I have made in login.jsp isn´t there.

peterj Aug 3, 2007 11:24 AM (in response to rekrevs)Wait a minute, do you have the correct login.jsp? There are several of them, but only one is the one used for login. (You never said which version of Portal you are using.)

saigon_man Aug 4, 2007 4:36 PM (in response to rekrevs)First, try to restart the jboss server. If this doesn't work, stop the server, then delete everything inside the server\default\tmp\deploy folder plus everything inside the server\default\work\jboss.web\localhost. restart the server. You might want to delete your war file as well and redeploy when the server starts. Hope this helps

10. Re: Problem to get Changes in jsp-files to apply
rekrevs Aug 6, 2007 7:49 AM (in response to rekrevs)Seem like the problem is solved. After deleting the files in "server\default\work\jboss.web\localhost." the updating of login.jsp worked fine.
Thanks for all the help
