Did you read this: http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.6/referenceGuide/html/sso.html ? -

Contrary to popular belief, Single Sign On is not a magic bullet that there is some Java API and you get to go about your way hacking.
You need to know what your environment/archircture/requirement is, what your Identity system is, and more importantly which SSO Framework you are using.
Some resources for research are here:
For out-of-the-box Tomcat support which is the simplest form, you can look at
http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.6/referenceGuide/html/sso.html
For JBoss SSO usage you can look at
http://labs.jboss.com/jbosssso/
For CAS SSO Framework support look at
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=CASSSOFrameworkIntegration
And for an overall picture look at this as a starting point:

kpalania Aug 31, 2007 12:16 PM (in response to jujuz)I've been able to support SSO in our application that uses JBoss Portal. It is quite simple to do it unless ofcourse your requirements are more complicated, like in my case.
For a basic use-case, you can enable the Tomcat SSO authenticator, use the same shared security realm that you use for the other application, and boom, everything should be working!
Ofcourse, remember that you will need to create the JBoss Portal dynamically if no such user exists.
