order of portlets in page layout not maintained once the ser

hi,

i use jboss portal 2.6.1

i am facing a problem.
i login as admin.
i try to cahnge the page layout of a page.
Say i add 3 portlets to a page in the centre region.
i change the order of the portlets.

i then restart the server.
the ordering of the portlets change. I have to again go to admin and change the order of the portlets.

Can someone please help on this one.

<if-exists>overwrite</if-exists>

to


<parent-ref>default.default</parent-ref>
<if-exists>keep</if-exists>

i have read in the tutorial
Instructs the portal to overwrite or keep this object if it already exists. Possible values are overwrite or keep . Overwrite will destroy the existing object and create a new one based on the content of the deployment. Keep will maintain the existing objct deployment or create a new one if it does not yet exist.

what i understand is, if i make changes in one portlet and the <if-exists>keep</if-exists>
then hte changes will not be affected as keep will maintain hte existing object.

please help me with my doubt.

<parent-ref>default.default</parent-ref>

But the solution doesnt work for me.

Is there some other way?
