Seems to indicate that there is a problem with your run.sh and/or run.conf file. Have you modified them? Also, the NPE seems to indicate an issue with your JBoss AS install...
No, I didn't modify those files. The config file looked ok to me ;-)
About the application server problem:
I downloaded the bundle 'JBoss Portal + JBoss AS 4.2.1'. Do you think it will make a difference when I install JBoss Portal on a standalone JBoss AS ?
The same bundle works totally fine on my Slackware Linux.
Thanks for help!
Would you mind re-downloading it and try again? We've seen cases where the download is sometimes corrupted for an unknown reason. I will try to give the bundle version a spin on OS X today to check if it's fine.
OK I just re-downloaded it but still get the same error. I'm going to try it again with the svn checkout.
Just tried on 10.4.11 with the bundled version. No issue. I don't have Leopard installed yet so I cannot try it there.
So it's a leopard problem, like so many other applications which doesn't work yet. ;-)
Do you plan to make it leopard compatible?
It's kinda strange because Leopard comes with the same JAVA version like Tiger (both 1.5.0_13).
thanks for help
Hmm, I won't go as far as saying it's a Leopard problem... It might be completely unrelated and I cannot say before I test on Leopard.
