Developing portlets with Jboss portal + Jboss / Eclipse IDE

Hello there,

I'm new to JBoss and Eclipse development and need your help to get me started.

My requirement is to develop JSR168 portlets on Jboss using JBoss Eclipse IDE.

Can anyone please let me to know how I can start developing JBoss JSR 168 Portlets using Eclipse IDE? Some "step-by-step" tutorial would help a lot.

I think that you are not getting any responses because there are no tutorials for portlets centered on Eclipse. There are tutorials on creating portlets (the JBoss Portal documentation is pretty good in that regard), but they do not require or use any particular IDE.

Personally, I use Eclipse to edit my portlets. I simply add the required JAR file to my Eclipse project: jboss-portal.sar/lib/portal-portlet-jsr168api-lib.jar. To build and deploy, I use either Ant or Maven2.
