insert meta data in jboss portal

I'm evaluating jboss portal 2.7.0 GA, and I need to insert content file (.html) and meta data into CMS repository of the portal software. I'm not sure how to insert meta data to the database. Can anyone please help me on this.

If you use CMS admin portlet to upload contents, then it will create meta data for you.

If still does not work, then please let me know what you are seeing and not seeing. I see there is and open issue https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-1774 but this may have been resolved.
