scrollposition lost after reRender

Hello,

i noticed when i reRender a certain area that contain scrollbars,
the scrolbar position is lost(it is set back to initial position) - which is a no go for user interfaces with ajax and scrollbars.


Any Ideas how i can get around this?
Anyone has the same problems?

can a developer pls confirm that this behaviour has nothing to do with richfaces, its a ajax related problem?

there is nothing about RF.. After you reRender some zone - it's removed from DOM and new one inserted. So new DOM element know nothing abuot scroll. So do not reRender area itself. reREnder children inside. ;)

ah ok i already tried that - but wast workimg - now on my simplex ecampel it does - well ill try to get it to work - and post here again - ok?
