More than one pattern in rich calendar?

Ok here is the problem. We're using the date pattern "yy-MM-dd" in our rich:calendar.

However, we want to also accept patterns on the format "yyMMdd"... how can this be achieved?

We have to put our own textfield nd make an own validator and just use the calendar button separately?

You can combine a rich:calendar with a custom converter which cycles through several patterns. That's what I did.
