As promised, more code has been committed to CVS to support managing destinations. The code now interacts with JMX, and uses the deployment service. Thus, when you start up the admin console, you will see the several default queues and topics, and any queues or topics you create or edit will be persisted.
Comments on the user interface are still welcome.
