Dojo or RichFaces for JSf web app?

I am a newbie to richfaces/ajax4jsf.
And I want to add ajax support into my JSF web project.
I am not sure should I use Dojo on client side or richfaces/ajax4jsf on JSF side?
Is it impossible or just a bad practice to use both Dojo and richfaces/ajax4jsf ?

I have a project which uses both together.

I don't know if it is "bad practice" but that was the only way I could get the layout I desired...
