ovidiu.feodorov Jun 26, 2006 5:44 PM (in response to rcjboss)1.0.0.GA doesn't support clustering, are you aware of that, right?

2. Re: Installing jboss-messaging-1.0.0.GA in *all* config
rcjboss Jun 27, 2006 8:37 AM (in response to rcjboss)I understand that jboss-messaging-1.0.0.GA does not support clustering. Does that mean that I cannot have clustering on the JBoss server for any other enterprise module (like EJBs...)?
I want to use the clustering for other components and not for messaging.
Also, please advise when would be the clustering-enabled jboss-messaging will be available. I plan to deploy a production application in Q4 2006. I was hoping that a clustering enabled jboss-messaging would be available by then. Please advice.
Thanks for your help. -
3. Re: Installing jboss-messaging-1.0.0.GA in *all* config
timfox Jun 27, 2006 8:39 AM (in response to rcjboss)JBoss Messaging does not currently support clustering - this does not affect any other cluster enabled components in JBoss.
Clustering will be in 1.2. We should be announcing dates for it, probably within the next week. -
4. Re: Installing jboss-messaging-1.0.0.GA in *all* config
ovidiu.feodorov Jun 27, 2006 1:37 PM (in response to rcjboss)You can use clustering for other components than messaging, and still run the messaging server on a cluster node (but only one).
This is how you do it:
1. Start from an original "all" configuration.
2. cd all
3. rm -r deploy-hasingleton/jms
4. rename "all" to "default"
5. run ant -f release-admin.xml from the util directory of Messaging's installation -
