Client and server on separate machines ++

When running server and client on separate machines I have problems:

I get it to work from the client if I specify ServerBindAddress to one of the IP's on the server, and then connects to that address.
BUT; Then I'm not able to connect from a client on the server. Even if I specify the same address, and sets the clients callback-address to the same. (The server has several IP's).

What would be the best way to configure the server so it could be accessed both from remote clients as well as local clients.
Both the server and the remote clients has more that one IP.

I can't answer your specific question, but just want to suggest that you read over the JBoss Remoting documentation, as that is what JBoss Messaging uses for communications. The default mechanism is a callback scheme where the server has to initiate connections back to a client for the client to "receive" messages. It sounds like you'll have to somehow configure Messaging so that it can distinguish between a client on the same box and itself?

This will change in 1.2.0.CR1 (and probably next 1.0 series releases) as we're planning to make the "bisocket" transport the default.
