2. Re: jboss-messaging-1.2.0.SP1.zip
timfox Jun 9, 2007 10:06 AM (in response to erace)We don't recommend any release in 4.0.x, but 1.3.0.GA should work with it but we don't make any guarantees.

erace Jun 9, 2007 3:02 PM (in response to erace)Thx for the reply. I will give it a shot then.

4. Re: jboss-messaging-1.2.0.SP1.zip
timfox Jun 10, 2007 5:56 AM (in response to erace)No intrigue really.
We only provide the latest version for download, since otherwise it becomes a nightmare to support.
There's an exception for 1.0.1 since this was the last non clustsered version. -
5. Re: jboss-messaging-1.2.0.SP1.zip
timfox Jun 11, 2007 3:34 PM (in response to erace)If there's enough demand we can put the older versions on the download page too.
However we don't want to encourage people to use older versions, since you'd be missing out on bug fixes / new features only available in later versions. -
6. Re: jboss-messaging-1.2.0.SP1.zip
ovidiu.feodorov Jun 21, 2007 6:30 PM (in response to erace)Here's a reason to keep older GA and SP versions handy: there are people who use older versions in production. They may need to replicate problems or debug, so they may need a fresh release or source bundle of the exact version they're running. Instead of forcing them to clutter their own environments with "archive" directories, it'll be a lot easier to just offer them in a centralized download repository.
Up to 1.2.0.GA I used to upload those files in sourceforge: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=22866&package_id=157261
I don't see any new ones, though ... -
7. Re: jboss-messaging-1.2.0.SP1.zip
timfox Jun 21, 2007 6:38 PM (in response to erace)Makes sense.
You're the second person whose asked for older versions so I'll re-enable them on labs.
I don't really see the point of putting stuff up on sourceforge though. -

ovidiu.feodorov Jun 21, 2007 6:48 PM (in response to erace)Redundancy. More exposure. More bandwidth. Mirrors. Servers close to where you are. Faster downloads.
