1. Re: JAXRPC ws client stub generation problem
jungi Nov 7, 2005 5:13 PM (in response to littlejimi)Hi,
This is known "problem" and there's filed enhancement for this (see http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=63326). I'm not sure if this will be implemented in NB 5.0.
For now you can use following workaround:
1) set Sun App Server as a target server for your project
2) add client to your project
3) change project's target server back to JBoss
4) copy JAX-RPC libraries from NetBeans to JBoss
5) add -pre-init target to project's build.xml and set classpath for wscopile there
See Geertjan's blog for more detailed steps - http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/geertjan?entry=deploying_web_service_clients_to

4. Re: JAXRPC ws client stub generation problem
luigi.tascapani Nov 30, 2005 11:12 AM (in response to littlejimi)Hi all, I've got the same problem with jaxrpc, and i solved them, but i still have a problem... if i try to invoke a web service that return a String[] i've got this error when i try to test it with netBeans:
Runtime exception; nested exception is: deserialization error: unexpected XML reader state. expected: END but found: START: item
When deployng WS.. JBoss console print out:
JavaWsdlMapping] Cannot find jaxrpc-mapping for type: {urn:NewWebService/types/arrays/java/lang}StringArray
I think it is a known problem but i cannot resolve it. I dont know what to do with WS/NetBeans/JBoss, i've lost lot of time should I use something else? -

littlejimi Nov 30, 2005 3:38 PM (in response to littlejimi)You should probably post this as a new thread, since it doesn't really relate to the thread title. You're more likely to get responses if title and content of the post correlate. It also very possibly isn't a problem related to NetBeans.
Anyway, good luck with the problem! Web service development can be a little tricky.

komal_singh Jan 28, 2006 11:20 PM (in response to littlejimi)Hi, I'm curious to know if you were able to solve your problem of returning complex types. I'm facing the same problem.
Please do let me know.
Thanks a lot. -

the_real_tomwi May 4, 2006 10:47 AM (in response to littlejimi)I had the same problem ("expected END: but found START: ...") and solved it by putting all the attributes of the class into alphabetical order. No, really.
