marius.oancea Dec 10, 2005 4:15 AM (in response to jameswoodward)Gavin, Thomas maybe we should make a nightly build downloadable ? Or is bad idea?

alextemnokhod Dec 10, 2005 5:56 PM (in response to jameswoodward)Thanks, Marius. It's not a bad idea to have something like http://anoncvs.forge.jboss.com/viewrep/JBoss/jboss-seam/build/jboss-seam.jar

9. Re: CVS Noob question
theute Dec 12, 2005 2:53 AM (in response to jameswoodward)I am looking with QA to have a nightly archive of the sources (plus a nighly build).
I hope everybody will understand that JIRA bug reports against those versions are irrelevant. -
10. Re: CVS Noob question
robjellinghaus Dec 23, 2005 12:36 AM (in response to jameswoodward)Am I reading correctly that the SEAM build requires you to have CVS pserver access? In other words, we can't just download the CVS and then run ant to build seam.jar?
I'm interested in using SEAM in Tomcat (I want to build an app to deploy on a Java hosting ISP that supports Tomcat but not JBoss). So I want the latest CVS. But I would rather have a build process that doesn't go online for me, so I know what version I'm actually getting (and can baseline it in my own local source code control, especially if I'm getting frequent CVS updates).
Is this any closer to being done?
Thanks,
Rob -

theute Dec 23, 2005 3:25 AM (in response to jameswoodward)You can checkout Seam from the CVS and build it later on offline, if it is what you meant.

robjellinghaus Dec 26, 2005 1:29 PM (in response to jameswoodward)I was indeed able to get it from CVS using the instructions from http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=70051:
"Thomas Heute" wrote:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.forge.jboss.com:/cvsroot/jboss co jboss-seam
It built and deployed on Tomcat absolutely perfectly. Testing is another matter :-)
Cheers!
