Enum fields

Suppose My form has a Enum field ( or may be lookup field) and I want to handle it inside JSF/Seam. I searched the web and reached to http://www.jroller.com/page/RickHigh/ weblog who is suggested a Converter and use it by means of spring.
I wonder what is you recommended strategy for this problem in seam, shall I write one converter per Enum class. Or there is a better way.

I guess it is possible to write a generic converter to do it.

I have not yet tried to do that though.

This talks about the generic case of creating a selectitem list to select from (using converters), this can probably be applied to custom defined Enums to allow the automatic functionality you are after.
