3. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
theute Jan 16, 2006 8:06 AM (in response to tschnoelzer)Check out either JBoss Head or JBoss 4.0 branch:
(Both work)
for jboss-head:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.forge.jboss.com:/cvsroot/jboss co jboss-head
for the branch 4.0:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@anoncvs.forge.jboss.com:/cvsroot/jboss co -r Branch_4_0 jboss-4.0.x -
4. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
tschnoelzer Jan 16, 2006 11:28 AM (in response to tschnoelzer)Thx alot as it is working !!!
* SEAM from cvs integrated in Eclipse
* JBOSS 4 Branch from CVS by WinCVS, building JBOSS by using the build.bat command
customizing build.properties in SEAM / Eclipse and life gets easy!

5. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
matthew.edwards Jan 16, 2006 3:59 PM (in response to tschnoelzer)How would you get 'JBoss 4 Branch' using Eclipse? I checkout JBoss-4.0.x, and used the build.bat file in its build folder to compile it. !00 errors...

6. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
matthew.edwards Jan 16, 2006 6:21 PM (in response to tschnoelzer)I downloaded WinCVS and was able to get it. I'd still be interested in an Eclipse way of doing it--but it doesn't really matter.

7. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
theute Jan 17, 2006 3:32 AM (in response to tschnoelzer)Eclipse sucks for that, you can't specify a branch or tag on a module like jboss-4.0.x so it's easier to checkout using command line or GUI client like WinCVS then import the project.
The other solution if you really really want to check out JBoss AS from Eclipse is to use an existing Eclipse project set like explained here : http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=HowToDevelopJBossWithEclipse -
8. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
dhartford Jan 17, 2006 2:30 PM (in response to tschnoelzer)This thread was useful. I had the exact same problem with the jboss4.0.3sp1 installer with EJB3 and the CVS-version of jboss-seam.
So the jboss 4.0.3sp1 is incompatible if you want to use SEAM, oh well. -
9. Re: CVS Seam against which version of JBOSS
gavin.king Jan 17, 2006 3:45 PM (in response to tschnoelzer)Yes, but notice that this is not due to frivolous reasons, it is due to the fact that the EJB3 spec has evolved slightly.
