what about url-pattern

I put the url pattern for the filter to * and actually it did a good job except one big problem. It sets content-type for all files to text/html and this makes a problem. when mozilla gets a css with content-type sets to text/html it ignores it. So I need to exclude css files from url-pattern. How can I do it?
