rich:ModalPanel causing javascript errors

Hello all,

We are encountering a strange javascript error related to rich:modalPanel on a page. The modalPanel is populated with some differing form elements and a rich:messages component. On submit we use a page navigation rule in the faces-config to reload the page and this is where it gets strange. On our local machines running Sun App Server everything works fine but on the Test/Development, users encounter javascript errors in thier Internet Explorer Browsers.

Now, we have tried to wrapping the modal panels in an a4j:include panel which solves this problems somewhat excepting for new page navigation issues.

I am hoping someone has encountered this before or might have some suggestions.

I hope you do not use ajax controls for navigation. Or if you really use them - define your navigation rules as redirect ones.

Ajax controls - controls for partial update on the same page. Could be used additionally for redirect navigation rules but not for norma ones! This limitation described on every our resource.

That makes sense... We figured that the javascript errors were occuring once a reload of the page was forced without closing the the modalpanels first.
