phicorp Mar 24, 2006 11:39 PM (in response to phicorp)Hello Max,
Could you provide more information please?
After reading your reply I added a number of [mapping class="..."/] elements to my hibernate.cfg.xml file and then reran the generator which displayed the following error message:
Exception while generating code
Reason:
org.hibernate.MappingException: An AnnotationConfiguration instance is required to use [mapping class="..."/]
I then looked up the tools documentation and created the following skeletal annotation configuration file:
[annotationconfiguration configurationfile="hibernate.cfg.xml"/]
However I have not been able to determine:
(1) What to call this file?
(2) Where to put it on my hard disk?
(3) How to reference it within the JBoss Eclipse IDE dialog boxes?
Many thanks,
Bruce. -

5. Re: Generating A CRUD application from EJB3 entities
phicorp Mar 26, 2006 5:47 PM (in response to phicorp)Hello All,
I have been unsuccessful in trying to generate a CRUD application from annotated EJB3 entities using the JBoss Eclipse IDE.
However I have been successful in generating the application using ant which allows the user to specify an annotationconfiguration to point to the hibernate.cfg.xml file containing class elements which specify the EJB3 entities to be used.
Many thanks,
